Great Lakes Environmental Assessment and Mapping Project

Dr. Lucinda Johnson

Lucinda Johnson is the Director of the Natural Resources Research Institute at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Her research focuses on land use, watersheds and threat mapping in the Great Lakes. She has been a leader of the Great Lakes Environmental Indicators (GLEI) project, which has assembled and analyzed extensive data on watershed-based threats to the Great Lakes over the last eight years. In addition to special expertise on Lake Superior, she brings a wealth of assessment experience and connections to U.S. and Canadian management agencies.
